My wife, Beverly Herman, had hip surgery Sept 8 at Cedars Sinai Hospital. Surgery went fine but starting about a week after surgery Beverly could not keep her food down. This went on for several weeks and Beverly became very weak and she began refusing to eat because about 30 minutes after eating it would come back up.
The Cedar Dr. in charge of Beverly's care took me aside and told me that they had conducted all the tests they could think of so he recommended she be transferred back to the rehab facility and wait until she stopped vomiting.
Dr. Sikavi came to our rescue telling us that he believes he knows the reason for Beverly's vomiting and transferred her back to Cedars and set up the test he had in mind. The test confirmed Dr. Sikavi's evaluation. Beverly was dismissed from Cedars and I decided to bring her home with 24/7 care. Dr. Sikavi ordered mediation and diet to address the slow stomach problem Beverly was experiencing. From the day Beverly came home until now, 2 months, Beverly has not vomited once and she is on the road to recovery. Beverly and I thank Dr. Sikavi for his diagnosis and healing of Beverly.
